Our Story

Alzheimer's Awareness Source LLC was founded in 2005 by four sisters. We grew up in Michigan and are now scattered throughout the U.S. - the mid-west, southwest and southeast. Alzheimer's has hit our family hard (six family members have been diagnosed with the disease) and we have seen first hand the effects it has not only on the person with the disease but on their family and friends. So, we started this company to honor our Mother, Bella, for bravely facing the challenges of Alzheimer's and our Father for his dedication and support.

Community awareness and communication can lessen the stigma of Alzheimer's and enhance the dignity of those suffering from the disease. We hope that you will proudly display items you purchase from Alzheimer's Awareness Source and that they will prompt discussion among the people around you.

Each and every item purchased from our company will provide much needed funding for the search for a cure and support programs. We have teamed up with the Alzheimer's Association, the world leader in Alzheimer research and support, and give our profits from each website purchase to their research group. The company also participates in annual Alzheimer's Association Memory Walks. Profits raised at the walks will be given to the local group hosting the event to be used for programs such as emergency respite care.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of our loved ones as well as the millions of others that have or will develop Alzheimer's disease.
